Provider Terms
Version 2026-10-02
These terms apply in addition to our Terms of Use whenever you offer a paid session (a lesson or paid hit) on Sunny Sets.
1. You run an independent business
Coaches and paid hitters ("providers") use Sunny Sets as an independent business, not as our employees, agents or contractors. You decide your own rates, availability, location, session format and who you accept. You're free to offer sessions anywhere else, including off the platform, and to work for other clients and platforms. Sunny Sets doesn't supervise, schedule or direct your sessions, and doesn't guarantee you any bookings.
2. Venues and permits
You're responsible for having the right to teach or hit for pay where you hold a session. Many public parks require a permit or concession agreement for paid instruction, and many private clubs prohibit outside professionals. You must follow the venue's rules and obtain any permit it requires. Listing a session at a court on Sunny Sets does not mean the venue allows paid sessions there.
3. Qualifications are yours to state accurately
Anything you list about yourself — certifications (for example USPTA or PTR), ratings (NTRP, UTR, WTN), playing history or experience — must be accurate. Sunny Sets does not verify these claims unless a profile says otherwise, and players are told that providers are not vetted by us. Misrepresenting your qualifications is grounds for removal.
4. Insurance and safety
You're responsible for carrying any insurance you need, including liability insurance for injuries during your sessions. Sunny Sets is not an insurer and does not cover injuries, property damage or other losses arising from sessions. You may decline or cancel any booking you don't feel safe with — a safety cancellation refunds the player in full, blocks them from booking you again, and is flagged to our team.
5. Players under 18
Sunny Sets accounts are for adults (18+). If a parent or guardian books a session for a minor, the guardian is responsible for the booking and for supervising the minor, and you're responsible for complying with any law or venue rule that applies to working with minors. Don't use Sunny Sets messaging to communicate directly with a minor.
6. Payments and payouts
Players pay through Sunny Sets and funds go directly to your connected Stripe (or PayPal) account, minus the platform fee shown when you set your price. Payment processing fees are deducted by the processor. You must keep your payout account in good standing and your details accurate.
7. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks
Refunds follow our Session & Dispute Policy. When you cancel a booking — for any reason, including weather or an unavailable court — the player is refunded in full. If a player wins a dispute or a chargeback, the refunded amount and any processor dispute fee are taken from your payout account. If your account balance becomes negative, you agree to repay it; we may deduct it from future payouts and may pause payouts or listings until it's resolved. Checking in at every session is your best evidence in a dispute.
8. Taxes
You're responsible for reporting your income and paying your own taxes. Payment processors may issue you tax forms (such as a Form 1099-K in the US) for payments you receive; if you use both Stripe and PayPal you may receive a form from each.
9. Conduct
Treat players with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or using a booking for anything other than the session you listed will get you removed from Sunny Sets. You may decline bookings, but not on the basis of a protected characteristic such as race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or national origin.
10. Removal
We may pause or remove a listing or account that breaks these terms, the Terms of Use, or the Session & Dispute Policy, or that puts players at risk. You can stop offering sessions at any time.
